The flag of Dalit Makkal Mandram is having a « Red Sun » in white stripes in between two blue stripes.
The Blue Stripes represents equality to all as the sea and the sky belong to whole of the world.
The white always represents purity and faithfulness in all. Therefore the white colour reminds us that we require pure conscience and straight forwardness in all our thoughts and actions.
Where there is Sun, there will be no darkness and it eradicates evil. Hence the Movement as the Red Sun should burn the differences in Caste, Creed, Religion, and thereby create a healthy society. Moreover the Red Sun denotes that the cadres should have sacrificing mind to fight for Dalit rights and liberations.
WHY “DALIT REVIVAL CENTRE” HAS BEEN STARTED:
Even after the Tamil Nadu Government Panchayat Board election, there were no changes in Villages. Both Dalit people and Dalit Presidents were attacked. So, they have to be in safer side. So, they need a “Mayam” (Centre) to come and solve the problem. For that motto to struggle against Dalit atrocities this centre was started.
“We strongly believe that unless we have the political power in our hands, our problems cannot be solved by us or somebody else”
