Over the years, POPE organized the Dalit community for development through the formation of youth groups, formation of self help groups and community groups, non- formal vocational training, children’s development programme, Dalit movement building, fighting for the rights of Dalits, training, awareness development, Tsunami relief and rehabilitation etc.

Though we have achieved tangible results for the Development of the Dalit community, what we have achieved is not sufficient. Miles to go before the journey of development ends. We had a review and evaluation of what we have done, what we were unable to do, what we have failed, the strengths and weaknesses of POPE. In the light of this, we want to achieve the following objectives in the next decade. The experience what we had during the last 2 decades is the stepping-stone to reach the objectives of 3rd decade.

• To consolidate and document the programmes and experiences of POPE to the suffering community, especially to Dalits in India.

• To develop the resource centre for the entire India on “Dalitology” and “Dalit empowerment” as a powerhouse to generate energy.

• To develop the infrastructure like building, library, LCD projector, over head projector, power point presentation, audio visual aids, conference hall, hostels, canteen etc., to conduct short term and long term residential training programmes for the Dalit NGOs, Dalit leaders, Dalit youth, women leaders etc., for building a National level movement on Dalit empowerment.

• To organise conferences on Dalit issues by bringing Dalit intellectuals/policy makers/leaders for the possible policy level changes through the Advocacy/lobbying.

• To develop model legislation on various Dalit issues and influence the Government for meaningful socio-economic change.

• To conduct various need based vocational training on different trades of employability for the under privileged and unprivileged young Dalit Boys and Girls.

• To conduct ‘Action Oriented Research’ and ‘Academic oriented research on Dalit Arts, Science, Literature, Culture, deprivation and make the findings available for all Dalit community / NGOs in India / Government for appropriate intervention programmes. 

• To organise State level Dalit Networks and form a National level federation for the Dalit community.

• To recognize and encourage young Dalit writers, professionals for influencing the Dalit community for a change and for the meaningful social change to the entire suffering community.

• To develop ‘Corpus fund’ for providing educational scholarship to the deserving Dalit students for their technical job oriented courses and for the higher level professional and administrative education.

• To construct and only equipped 20 bed rural have hospital with a provision of rural outreach clinics to promote the health stating of the deprived rural community.

• To establish friends of Dalit (FOD) amours the national and antinational community to support the cause of Dalit for their Empowerment.

• The time scale to achieve the above objectives is 10 years. Indicate how many years you wish to support us or on which year it may be possible to help us.
• You can be a volunteer to mobilize resources or can be a volunteer to develop the campus on infrastructure development or to share your expertise with us as a volunteer / visitor.

We have calculated the unit cost of each programme to the under privileged Dalit community and also others at their needs. You can indicate your choice / interest to support one or many members. You are requested to share this information with others who are interested to help the suffering humanity and the less privileged, marginalized, unorganized Dalits.
